It is best to sleep with your head elevated on several pillows or propped up against the wall. This will help with congestion and also reduce swelling. 

It is generally safe to put moisturizer on the nose after rhinoplasty, but make sure that you are using a moisturizer that has not irritated your skin in the past. If you have had previous problems with irritation, it is advisable to use Vaseline or Aquaphor instead of moisturizer.
